First Friday Men’s Group 2019

First Friday Men’s Group 2019

First Friday is an ecumenical men’s group that meets on the first Friday of each month at 7.30pm except August.

We meet at St Paul’s Church from April to October and at Heaton Park Methodist Church during the winter months. Men come mainly from the Methodist Churches, but membership is open to all local Christian men. We enjoy a short time of worship, followed by a speaker on a religious or secular topic – and then meat pie and peas [with a vegetarian option].

Each January we go away to a hotel at Grange-over-Sands for a weekend organised by Len Mills, and the regular group is then joined by several men from Scotland and elsewhere who have local church connections.

If you would like to know more speak to David Martin tel: 0161 766 2736 or Len Mills.

Wednesday Fellowship at St Andrew’s

Wednesday Fellowship at St Andrew’s

St Andrew’s Wednesday Fellowship meets at 2pm each Wednesday during term time at St Andrew’s Church. Once each term Reverend Lee or Reverend Mike joins us for a more formal service with Holy Communion. Heather Martin leads a group of 8-10 ladies who meet for prayer, spiritual encouragement and fellowship. We use a simple liturgy, Bible readings, prayer and reflection, and we support each other through fellowship, tea and biscuits.

It provides a non-threatening space and a quiet time in the middle of the week. If this would suit you then please come and join us.
